What type of Harassment and Bullying are going on in American schools today?

I. Describe Issue or Problem: School is more than the academic instruction that occurs in the classroom. Our students’ education also depends on an environment that supports learning. It is impossible for students to achieve at their fullest potential if they fear for their safety. The long-term effects of bullying, cruelty, bias, and hate-motivated behavior can have a tremendous impact on student success—both for the victims and for the perpetrators. Not until recent tragic school shooting incidents did we fully realize the devastating effect that hate and bullying behaviors can have on students.
Research Summary: Our research is based on actual articles based on actual events that happened in a school environment that falls under the category of harassment and/or bullying and the role it plays in American schools today. Visual Summary:
